DEAR GROWGETTERS,


THIS LETTER IS VITAL TO YOUR UPCOMING MONTHS AND WINTER BLISS. OUR MENTAL HEALTH TARGET IS “SAY NO NOVEMBER.” WE ARE PRIORITIZING OUR MENTAL HEALTH JUST IN TIME FOR WINTER. NOVEMBER CAN BE SNEAKY AS IT CAN SUBTLY GIVE ROOT TO LAZY HABITS. AS GIDGET ALWAYS SAYS “YOU CAN QUIT OR PUT ON YOUR GRIT.” LET'S DO THIS. LET'S EVALUATE SOME NEEDED BOUNDARIES SO THAT OUR WORK-LIFE-HARMONY CAN SAIL THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS AND WINTER MONTHS. THIS NOVEMBER I AM GOING TO SHARE HOW TO SET BOUNDARIES WITH OTHERS AND YOURSELF SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE MIGHTY MENTAL HEALTH.

Office Call

I WORK WITH PEOPLE ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY AND I HAVE COME TO BELIEVE THAT SETTING BOUNDARIES IS A UNIVERSAL NEED FOR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS. MANY PEOPLE DID NOT HAVE BOUNDARY SETTING MODELED FOR THEM OR THEY LACK AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR BOUNDARIES. HOWEVER, WHAT PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF IS THE TENSION THAT BUILDS WHEN BOUNDARIES ARE MISSING. TENSION IS ALWAYS A SIGN OF A BOUNDARY PROBLEM. SELF RESPECT IS AT THE CORE OF BOUNDARIES. IT'S THAT MOMENT YOU REALIZE YOU RESPECT YOURSELF AND YOUR LIFE ENOUGH TO SAY NO TO OTHERS.  

Tips:

  1. FIRM & FRIENDLY. YOU WANT TO APPROACH THE PERSON WITH A FIRM AND FRIENDLY TONE, BODY LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION. BE PLEASANT BUT BUT CONSISTENT WITH YOUR BOUNDARY.
  2. BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO DO AND WHAT YOUR ARE NOT WILLING TO DO. BOUNDARIES ARE ABOUT BOTH. WHAT YOU WILL DO AND WON'T DO.


Defining Your Boundaries

 

SETTING BOUNDARIES IS A POWERFUL TOOL AND PROTECTING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH , EMOTIONAL HEALTH, AND PHYSICAL HEALTH. IT INVOLVES DEFINING YOUR LIMITS WITH OTHERS AND YOURSELF. IT IS TOUGH BUT ESSENTIAL SKILL THAT WILL LEAD YOU TO HEALTHIER RELATIONSHIPS AND LESS STRESS AND STRONGER SELF RESPECT. IF YOU ARE NEW TO BOUNDARY SETTING OR NEED A REFRESH REMEMBER THE AREAS IN LIFE WHERE BOUNDARIES ARE MOST NEEDED:

  • DIGITAL BOUNDARIES
  • WORK BOUNDARIES
  • TIME BOUNDARIES
  • EMOTIONAL BOUNDARIES
  • PHYSICAL BOUNDARIES

Tips:

 

  1. BE FIRM AND FRIENDLY. STRAIGHTFORWARD YET POLITE. 
  2. USE I STATEMENTS. “I WOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE…”
  3. BE CONSISTENT WITH PUSHBACK. 
  4. BE KIND TO YOURSELF AND RESPECT YOUR DESIRE TO PRIORITIZE YOUR WELL BEING AND MENTAL HEAL

CLAIM YOUR CROWN AS A CHILD OF GOD, RUN IN THE GRACE AND PURPOSE HE HAS FOR YOU. WEAR YOUR CROWN NOT AS A SYMBOL OF PRIDE AND ENTITLEMENT, BUT AS A SYMBOL OF YOUR LOVE FOR GOD AND ALL OTHERS. STAND FIRM, GROWGETTERS. YOU ARE CHOSEN, CHERISHED, AND EMPOWERED TO BRING LOVE IN TO THIS DARK DEPRESSING WORLD. HE WALKS WITH YOU. I STAND WITH YOU IN PRAYER. GIDGET IS SENDING HER LOVE VIBES TO YOU EVERY DAY.

REMEMBER, BOUNDARIES ARE NOT SELFISH. THEY REPRESENT SELF RESPECT. BOUNDARY SETTING WILL INCREASE YOUR CONFIDENCE AND IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS AND CREATE THE LIFE OF BALANCE. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU, GROWGETTERS, TO WATER YOUR POSITIVE OUTLOOK THIS MONTH OF NOVEMBER! REMEMBER THAT NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES. KEEP YOUR FAITH MOVING YOU FORWARD.
